Every page node in your tree has an "Insert multiple links into tree menus " option. This is a powerful tool and easy to use. It can instantly create a web page that contains links to all the files in any folder of your hard disk.
(1) Save your project and style sheet files.
(2) Go to "Images". Either select images or check the appropriate "don't use image" check options.
(3) You will probably want to make the project a frameset project. Go to "Frameset". Check the "Tree menu is in a frameset" check box, and choose a file to load in the content frame. Go to "Options". Un-select the "Use drop-down menus" check option. A frameset project should use regular tree menus, not drop-down tree menus.
Add a single page link to you project. Choose the "Insert multiple links into tree menus " option and click the "Select folder" button. The select folder form that appears allows you to select the folder and has a variety of other options. You may choose a folder that is not in your web, but if so, you must go to "Options" and select the "Link directly to files on the hard disk" option.
The files within the folder you have selected do not appear in the tree menu builder, but they are added to your tree menus (or site map) when you run the project.
Using the "Run / tools" menu, write your menu tree and frameset. eMenuTree will prompt you to correct any problems with your settings or tree. eMenuTree will write three files: emenu.js (your tree menu), ehomepage.htm (a file with a link to emenu.js; this will be loaded into the tree menu frame of your frameset), and eframeset.htm (your frameset).
After you write your tree menu and frameset files, use the "preview" menu to preview the tree menu in a browser. The first time you use eMenuTree you must select the browser or browsers you would like to use.
The select folder form has a "Use ASP server side scripting". It builds javascript tree menus on the fly (i.e. based on whatever files are on your hard disk at the time when the tree menu page is requested by a browser). For more information please see the help file "Inserting multiple links".
1. Click the "Select folder button", and change the options. Run your project and preview the results. For details concerning the select folder options see the help file "Inserting multiple links"
2. Add two folders to the project, cut the page link, and copy it into both folders. Modify the options of one or both of the page links. Run the project and preview the results.
3. Change the name of one of the files on your hard disk that is included in the tree menu. Re-run the project, and the new name will appear when you view the project in a browser.
